South Africa has well defined certification schemes for electronic and electric products, as wel for radio and telecom interfaces.
ICASA approval
ICASA approval is required for all radio and telecommunication equipment. Approval can only be obtained by a local company within South Africa. Equipment shall be labelled with the ICASA logo and registration number. Depending on the product specification, Teleconformity can make a correct judgement of what needs to be done.
SABS approval
Some products are regulated and require safety (including EMC) approval. For example ITE (class 2) power adapters and power cords. Depending on the product specification, Teleconformity can make a correct judgement of what needs to be done.
